Create a Youtube Account

To get started, download the YouTube app from the app store, and open it from your homepage. Click the button in the top right-hand corner that is the outline of a person, then click the blue sign in button. To use YouTube, you must have previously signed up for a Google account. The sign in button will take you to a page to sign in to your Google account.

If you do not have one, click Create account and follow those steps with Google. Otherwise, select the account you have already created. Your YouTube account is now active and ready to use.

Search and Watch a video

At the top of the screen, there is a magnifying glass icon. Click it, and type whatever you want to watch. If you have a specific youtuber in mind, type their name or even just “cats” and click enter. Everything that depicts what you searched for will appear. I searched for a famous Youtuber named Zoella. Her two accounts came up at the top as well as her videos. Click the name and their profile will appear. Click the videos tab, and click the video you want to see. If you press the back button, your video will still be playing. Swipe across it to make it go away.

Like, Comment & Subscribe

Click the thumbs up button if you liked it and it will turn blue. If you want to leave a comment, scroll below the video and you will see an area that says add a public comment, click it, type a message, then press the blue arrow. Across from the content creators name is a red subscribe button. Click that, and you will see every new video from them in your subscription box.
